The Super Eagles of Nigeria have maintained their 39th position in the latest FIFA rankings for national teams.

Nigeria, however, dropped one place to sixth position on the ranking of best teams on the African Continent with Tunisia displacing the three-time African champions.

Morocco maintained their position as the best ranked team on the continent with Senegal, Egypt and Cote d'Ivoire occupying the second, third and fourth place respectively.

The Super Eagles played two matches in September, taking on Benin Republic and Rwanda in the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Nigeria beat Benin Republic 3-0 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo before recording a goalless draw against Rwanda in their second encounter.

The team will return to action against Libya in the AFCON qualifiers next month.
