Dele Momodu, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has disclosed that Petroleum Motor Spirit is finally out.

Momodu disclosed this in a post on his Instagram page early on Monday, August 2.

"PMS is out of Dangote refinery Complex. Congratulations Alhaji," he captioned the video he shared on his page.

His revelation has generated mixed reactions many believe it will lower the cost of fuel which is currently sold at N1,000 at the pumps.

To buttress the comment made by Dele Momodu, the Punch reports the Dangote Petroleum Refinery is set to roll out the sale of the product.

According to an industry source who spoke to the paper, the government and the Dangote Group were working out modalities for the circulation of the product.

This follows a few days after the 650,000-capacity refinery engaged in a test run of the product.

A government source hinted that the sale and distribution of the PMS is being sorted out with the Federal Government.

The source added that only the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited would be authorised to sell the Dangote fuel at the moment.
