The upcoming NBA season will be a special one for Lebron James, who will be playing alongside his son, Bronny, with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Bronny, 19, was drafted by the Lakers in the summer with the 55th overall pick. It will be the first time a father and son will be playing simultaneously in the NBA.
Lebron, who will be making his 22nd season appearance in the NBA has set some ground rules for his son ahead of the new campaign.
According to the 39-year-old, he has barred his son from calling him "dad" on the court.
"We already laid that down. He cannot call me dad in the workplace. Once we leave out of the practice facility and the gates closed, I can be dad again, he said.
He jokingly suggested a few names for his son to use such as "Bron", or "GOAT".
"He gotta call me like 2.3., or Bron, or GOAT if he wants to. It's up to him,
"We cannot be running down the court, and he'd be like, 'Dad, push the ball up! Dad, I'm open! Dad, come on!'" he added as quoted by The Shop.
The Athletics Shams Charania reported that Bronny signed a four-year, $7.9 million contract rookie contract with the Lakers.
