Super Eagles goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye, has signed a contract extension with Serie A club, Udinese, which will now keep him at the club until June 30, 2028.
This new contract ends any speculation about his future at the club. Okoye joined Udinese from Sky Bet Championship club, Watford, in 2023.
During the past season, he earned a leading role, demonstrating a high standard of performance that made him one of the best-performing goalkeepers in the Italian top flight.
Okoye made 22 league appearances for the Zebras last season, showcasing his shot-stopping abilities, command of the penalty area, and excellent distribution skills.
Before his move to Watford, Okoye played for Sparta Rotterdam in the Eredivisie, where he was also highly regarded. His performances in the Dutch league earned him a move to England and subsequently to Italy.
Okoye has also been a regular for the Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles, earning numerous caps and representing his country in major tournaments.
With his new contract, Udinese fans can look forward to seeing more of Okoye's impressive goalkeeping skills in the coming years.
