Investigative journalist, David Hundeyin has criticized Bola Tinubu after a video of the President's official vehicle surfaced on social media.
In the post on X, Hundeyin questioned why the President was in a Cadillac Escalade when the usual official vehicle for most Nigerian Presidents is the Mercedes Benz Maybach S-class.
"As far as I'm aware, Nigeria's presidential car has always been a Mercedes Benz Maybach S-class, at least in the 4th Republic. Since when did the drug pusher change it to a Cadillac Escalade? Another show of fealty to his American handlers?" Hundeyin wrote.
The post has since sparked mixed reactions.
President Bola Tinubu departed Abuja for Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, on a three-day official visit.
The trip is to honor an invitation from President Teodoro Mbasogo.
The President arrived at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at about 2 pm.
He, thereafter, boarded the presidential jet and was saluted by top military personnel and government officials.
