Nigerian music star Burna Boy has expanded his influence in the world of football by launching a football academy in three cities across Nigeria.

The academy, named Burna Boy Football Academy, will offer training sessions three days a week, each lasting two hours.

The academy has two training centers in Lagos—one in Lekki and another in Surulere—along with one center each in Abuja and Port Harcourt.

Unveiled on its website on Monday, August 12, the academy is focused on developing young talent. It welcomes players aged 4 to 15, as well as those aged 16 to 21.

The goal is to create a space where young players can learn football skills alongside education, discipline, and technique, helping them succeed both on and off the field.

Burna Boy Football Academy also emphasizes the importance of balancing sports with academics and encourages parental involvement in this effort.

The academy has formed partnerships with top English Premier League clubs like Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Leicester City, and Brighton, as well as Championship side Watford. It also has connections with Scottish clubs Hearts and Hamilton.

Though it recently gained attention online, the academy has been quietly operating, with the results of seven friendly matches already posted on their website, including four wins, two losses, and one draw.
