End Bad Governance Protest: Hunger protesters converge on Abuja stadium

Protesters have started to gather at Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja today, August 1, 2024, the day set for the nationwide demonstration.

As of 6am, a group of people had gathered, singing solidarity songs and holding placards with the messages like “End Bad Governance,” and “Make Lawmaking a Part Time Job.”

Security at the stadium is tight, with heavily armed operatives such as soldiers and police personnel present.

The protest, expected to continue for ten days, aims to express frustration with the economic hardships.
