Transfer market Fabrizio Romano has provided some insights into the speculations surrounding Victor Osimhen move to Chelsea in his latest update.

While Osimhen's desire to play in the Premier League is not in question, Napoli is only prepared to let him go with the right transfer offer.

Romano has clarified why the reported loan deal proposal for the Nigerian international is unlikely to materialize.

First, Osimhen's intention is to leave Napoli permanently and not to return after a season-long loan.

The second major concern has to do with the player's salary. The Super Eagles striker will have to make some sacrifices by reducing his salary if he wants to secure his dream move to Stamford Bridge.

Romano explains that Napoli will never loan out Osimhen while continuing to pay half of his wages. Osimhen is reportedly on a huge salary at Napoli, a fee believed to be over €11 million net per season.

Although Chelsea and Napoli are still in talks for Romelu Lukaku in a deal that would involve Victor Osimhen, the Super Eagles striker's camp insists the move has to be a permanent.
