Former governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bernard Mikko says Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike is not the political godfather of Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.
Mikko made this comment when he appeared as a guest on Arise TV on July 10 to discuss the crisis that has rocked the state.
According to the APC Chieftain, God is the political god-father of Fubara and not the widely perceived notion that it is his predecessor, Wike.
"The god-father of this governor is God himself in heaven and the Rivers people who gave him the mandate," he said.
He added further that he will give Fubara the needed support he requires to be able to govern the state.
"What I know now is that we want to support the governor. Give him every necessary support to succeed in executing his mandate. This is a governor who was not ambitious to contest. I contested in these elections in APC. But the moment he emerged and we started seeing destructions, we said no, this is not time for politics, this is time for governance."
