Victor Osimhen's social media outburst against Finidi George continues to spark controversy, with many fans and former footballers condemning the Super Eagles striker for failing to apologize for his misconduct.

Despite calls for disciplinary action, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) appears to be ignoring the issue.

Osimhen had lashed out at Finidi George on social media, accusing the former Super Eagles coach of questioning his commitment to the national team.

The 25-year-old alleged that Finidi George claimed he feigned injury to miss the Super Eagles' World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic, which was later proven to be false.

In a recent development, Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface has seemingly thrown his support behind Osimhen's actions.

In an Instagram post, the 23-year-old stated that footballers are not obligated to tolerate insults from fans.

"Some of you think we're supposed to keep quiet and let you insult us because we're footballers. I laugh at you in German. Some of us are also crazy too," Boniface wrote as translated from Pidgin.
