Simon Ekpa, the self-proclaimed Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government in Exile, has issued a stern warning to the governors of the South East to refrain from negotiating with Nigeria on behalf of the Biafrans.

Ekpa described these governors as selfish individuals who are suddenly taking center stage and advocating for negotiations.

He made this statement in a post he shared on social media on Sunday, July 7, 2024.

In his comment, the Biafra agitator stated that the selfish politicians and traditional rulers who are currently advocating for negotiations sabotaged the Biafra liberation.

He cautioned them to stop, or they will face the consequences. Ekpa’s complaint comes after the South East governors came together to appeal to President Bola Tinubu to release Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra who is has been in detention by the Department of State Security (DSS).

BRGIE, led by Ekpa claims that the Southeast governors and leaders lack the right to negotiate Nnamdi Kanu’s release.

Simon Ekpa wrote: “Those criminals politicians and traditional rulers who are now jumping up and shouting negotiation with Nigeria after sabotaging the Biafra liberation are warned never to speak again.

“The warning will not come again, this is the last warning, none of you have the mandate to speak for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu or Biafrans. We will not have mercy at any one negotiating anything from tonight.

“The Biafra Republic Government In Exile remains the only legitimate entity to do that. Those selfish individuals now taking center stage and shouting negotiations should stay away or you disappear. Biafrans are not joking”, he said.

Recall that the Southeast governors, groups from the region and the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 election, Peter Obi called for the release of Nnamdi Kanu in an effort to stop the insecurity and bring peace to the region.
