Several reactions have trailed viral news reports that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's horse, Renewed Hope retained her title as the fastest house in Africa after winning the first position in the 2024 edition of the tournament in Bida.
The same horse is reported to have topped the winner's list at the 2022 and 2023 editions of the competition and has been the defending champion for the last three years.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the Horse Racing Federation of Nigeria organized the tournament.
The winners of the various categories of the race where presented with six Toyota vehicles.
The winner of the second positions got N700,000 each winners of the third and fourth positions received N500,000 and N300,000 respectively.
Niger Governor, Mohammed Umaru-Bago said he was elated with the unity of purpose that the federation has brought through the organization of the event that ended on Sunday, June 2.
He further congratulated the president horse for winning the tournament.
