Reno Omokri, a leading member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has thrown a jab at Nigerians for the extent to which things are taken.
On his Facebook page, Omokri joked that the popular phrase "No gree for anybody" has been taken to a whole new level.
He pointed out recent events such as the controversies surrounding the national anthem, the Emirs of Kano, and the new naira notes leading up to the 2023 presidential election.
"Two national anthems, two Emirs of Kano, two Binance executives arrested in Nigeria, two versions of the Naira (old and redesigned), two exchange rates for the Naira (official and parallel), two First Ladies in Osun State, two leaders in Rivers State - it's all double trouble. We have truly embraced the 'No gree for anybody' slogan in Nigeria!" he wrote.
The post has generated mixed reactions on social media.
