Isaac Oyedepo, the son of Living Faith Church founder Bishop David Oyedepo, has candidly shared his past struggle with pornography in a recent podcast. Isaac hopes his story will encourage others facing similar challenges.

"My intention is to share a positive confession that can aid others. I've previously battled with pornography," Isaac recounted. He described an incident during a trip abroad that led to his exposure to pornography when he was alone in a hotel room.

However, Isaac credits his faith for a swift recovery from the addiction. "God liberated me from it quickly," he said. He believes that open discussions about such struggles are necessary, as many individuals, including pastors and church members, continue to grapple with the issue.

Isaac also addressed a common misconception: "Being anointed and witnessing miracles doesn't always equate to righteousness. I've had moments of realization where I wasn't in the right, yet grace and mercy prevailed."

He emphasized that divine intervention could work through anyone for the benefit of the faithful, sharing this as his personal testimony.

He said; “My confessions are good ones that will help people. I struggled with pornography before.

I remembered how it started, we travelled to one country and I was meant to be in the room alone, I switched on the TV and that’s it.

But God brought me out of it very quickly. A lot of people still struggle with it and I think of somebody who had struggled with it and had walked up to me and told me how to come out, I would have come out quickly.

I think people feel there are things we shouldn’t talk about, but today there are some pastors and church members still struggling with it.

You may be anointed, seeing signs and wonders but it does not mean you are standing right.

There is this old saying that if it’s working it means you are standing right but I found out that it’s not always the case. There are times I found out I wasn’t right, but grace and mercy found me.

For the sake of someone who is genuine in the congregation, God can bypass you to meet the person; this is my confession.”

In response, activist Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, shared his own experiences with pornography.

Despite numerous attempts to stop, he found it challenging to break free. He warns against the consumption of pornography, citing its potential harm to one's physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

His message was conveyed in a video posted on his Instagram on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.
