President Bola Tinubu has announced a 50 percent slash for inter-state travelers during the Christmas and New Year period.
This was made known by the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to President Bola Tinubu, Bayo Onanuga in a tweet on Wednesday, December 20.
According to the presidency, the federal government has said that train travelers will pay nothing during the period.
The statement added that the cut in transportation will begin on Thursday, December 21 and end on January 4.
The tweet reads: "President Tinubu says the Federal Government will bear 50% of the transport fares for interstate road travelers during Christmas and New Year. Train rides will be free. The policy takes effect from 21 December and ends 4 January 2024."

I remember Lagos state residents have been enjoying this kind of benefits every festive period for years. Now Tinubu as the President, is extending such across Nigeria.
Good news indeed.
May God bless the Federal…

For what reasons ???.? A Nigeria whose 90 percent of its annual budget goes for debt service, a Nigeria whose energy sector is still very poor & factories closing. A Nigeria where public sector productivity is at its lowest since Amalgamation of 1914.
