The Nigerian Senate has confirmed Mr Ola Olukoyede as chairman and Muhammad Hassan Hammajoda as the secretary of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Mrs Halima Shehu has also been confirmed as the National Coordinator and the Chief Executive Officer of the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIP).
The red chamber confirmed the appointment following their screening on Wednesday’s plenary.
Olukoyede, during his presentation, promised to be impartial in fighting corruption.
He also assured to wage war against financial crimes.
“The EFCC mandates don’t discriminate. Whether you are in ruling or opposition parties, we will chase you when you commit financial crime,” he said.
