Nigerian activist, Aisha Yesufu has tackled Nigerians who are of the habit of praying for illegitimate and incompetent government to be good.

In a post shared on her X page, Aisha shared an old video of the late Dr Myles Munroe, founded of the Bahamas Faith Ministries International, where he told people to stop asking God to send someone to heal their countries.

The late cleric said to his congregants that they cannot expect righteousness from an unrighteous person as nothing good comes out from them.

He said in the video; “Stop asking God to send someone to heal your country. Do you know how long people have been praying for their government and their countries are still collapsing. You cannot expect righteousness from an unrighteous person… You know the person is a demon, how do you pray for a demon to be good?

The Bible says when the righteous are in power, the people rejoice, not the demon who you pray to be righteous are in power.

The wicked rule the people groan, I wonder how many countries are groaning, the poor, the oppressed, the widows, the children, the young people are groaning, people losing their houses, losing their sanity, losing their jobs and businesses, losing their health, can’t even get a medical attention because they’ve got no money, they’re groaning. He said, that’s because the wicked are in power.”

Reacting to the video of the late author and minister, Yesufu attribute his message to Nigerians saying, “Nigerians on this table. Praying for illegitimate and incompetent government to be good. How?”
