The First Lady of Ondo State, Mrs Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu on Friday, July 21 shared a touching video to celebrate her unwell husband Rotimi Akeredolu as the governor turned 67.
The video which she captioned “Aketi dey Kampe! Victory for us!” shows the couple in the hospital clad in white.
It was the first appearance of the ailing governor since he handed over his duties to his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa to travel abroad to seek medical care last month.
According to SaharaReporters, Akeredolu had departed abroad to treat blood cancer (leukaemia), an illness caused by a rise in the number of white blood cells in the body.
As per reports, the governor couldn't sign any official document before he departed for his medical leave on June 7.
The medical leave has been extended indefinitely by lawmakers in the state.
