Wisdom Nwedene, an Editor with Igbere TV has narrated how a Facebook friend request landed him in police custody in 2022.

The journalist made the revelation via his Facebook account on Tuesday.

He wrote: "Last year, I was battling with this injury on my leg and was equally arrested and detained by the Police over a publication I made. I never talk about the arrest till this moment.

"I decided to talk about it because many people have been complaining that I don't accept friend requests. The friend request I accepted last year from an unknown person made my brother and I to land in Police Headquarters.



"Despite my life threatening injury, I kept going to the police station for one good month. My time, money, wasted because of a single friend request. After the ugly incident, I discovered that some youth in this state can actually be wicked to their fellow youth because of peanuts from politicians."
