Abba Kabiru Yusuf, the governorship candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano State is currently leading his All Progressives Congress (APC) rival, with over 10,000 votes in the nine Local Government Areas so far declared at the state collation center.
The LGAs are Rano, Rogo, Makoda, Kunchi, Wudil, Karaye, Tsanyawa, Minjibir and Albasu, Daily Trust reports.
The NNPP has so far polled 188,032 votes while APC trails with 1 175,003, leaving a margin of 13,029.
NNPP has so far won 5 LGAs, while APC has emerged victorious in 4.
