Former presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba has received curses for claiming the governorship and state assembly election conducted in Lagos state was peaceful.
This comes after several reports of attacks by thugs belonging to the All Progressives Congress.
Polling units across the state reported voter suppression, intimidation and beating of other party agents.
Adamu Garba however, described the Lagos governorship election as the most peaceful election in history as compared to the last presidential election held on February 25.
He also asked that people should disregard the violence reports, saying that they are false and that everywhere is peaceful.
Garba tweeted; "Even though the turnout was low, compared to the last Presidential election, Lagos is conducting the most peaceful governorship election in history.
Ignore all those claiming violence, nothing of such is ever happening here in Lagos. Everywhere is peaceful."
Disappointed by the post, some social media users took to his comment section to express their displeasure at his comment.
Below are some reactions from frustrated Nigerians who disagreed with his post.
May the life of your kids be like that election.
