The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu had warned the Igbo people that they will continue to be marginalized in the country if they do not support his presidential ambition.

He made the statement on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at the APC presidential campaign rally at Michael Okpara Square in Enugu State.

Tinubu stated that his supporters in Enugu are working hard, but asked them to put more effort to make sure he wins the 2023 presidential election.

He added that unless Igbo people make sure he comes out victorious, he will offer them nothing but “a slight clap or a soaked slice of bread.”

“But nobody will give you any credit, you are working hard, and you’re sweating now. We want you to sweat well now for this party until you deliver victory.

"Until Bola Tinubu becomes the president of Nigeria, we will not give you but a soaked sliced bread,” Tinubu said.
