The new Naira note which was recently printed and made available to the public has been in the news following a new discovery.
According to a tweet making rounds, a lady revealed how the new naira note faded after unknowingly being washed in a cloth.
Sharing a photo of the washed new N500 naira note on Twitter, a lady narrated how her sister forgot she had a new naira note in one of her outfits and washed the cloth.
Upon realising, she took out the money and discovered the colour of the N500 note has been washed away.
She wrote;
“So my sis forgot the new currency in her pocket and washed it, this is what it turned out to! If rain drenches you and this money is your only hope, you’d be stranded!”
