Supporters of Peter Obi who call themselves “Obidients” have lashed out at former presidential aide, Reno Omokri over his social media comments on Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party.
Many questioned why he would choose to insult Peter Obi instead of campaigning for his principal, Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a series of tweets, Reno asked Obi to stop the embarrassing election eye service. According to him, Peter Obi suddenly remembers churches, birthdays, people’s events, a thing he wasn’t known for doing.
Reno faults Obi’s ability to unite the Christian and Muslims should he become President of Nigeria.
He tweeted;
“Peter Obi suddenly remembers people, churches, concerts and events that he did not know existed all these years that he has been religiously obeying IPOB’s sit at home order? Come on Peter. Be a leader, not just a trader! Stop this embarrassing election eye service!
“Obi, who deposited Anambra money in a bank in which he had interest in, will fight corruption. Obi, who said “church take back your country”, will unite Christians and Muslims. Obi, who travels with many bags, only has one pair of shoes, (maybe it is air in bags).
“Obi, who did not make Anambra a paradise, will turn Nigeria into a paradise. Obi, who did not conduct LGA elections in Anambra for 7 years, will deepen democracy in Nigeria. Obi, who obeys IPOB in Anambra, will end insecurity nationwide. It is very impossible!
“If you go through Peter Obi’s social media posts, he never celebrated some people on their birthdays. All of a sudden, he celebrating them this year. Why? That is what they call eye service. And it will fail, just like his IPOB turned Obidient movement will fail!”
However, Peter Obi's supporters dissagrees with Reno Omokri's submission as they took to his comment section to reprimand him.
