Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo scored for CD Leganes in their Segunda B clash with FC Cartegena on Sunday.
Omeruo got his goal in the 59th minute to cancel out Borja Valle’s 55th-minute opener for Cartegena.
It was his first goal in six league outings for the cucumber planters who are yet to click this season.
Omeruo’s goal handed Leganes the initiative and they deservedly got the winner with fourteen minutes left to play, thanks to a goal from Spanish forward Juan Munoz.
The win is Leganes’ second in nine games so far and was not enough to take them out of the bottom three.
The Imanol Idiakez-led side will host Malaga at the Cartagonova stadium on Wednesday.
