The Court of Appeal has ordered members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, to end their eight-month-old strike immediately.

A Federal High Court had earlier ruled that ASUU should call off the strike and that lecturers should resume classes.

ASUU had appealed the ruling.

Recall, that the Federal Government through the Minister of Labour Chris Ngige had registered to rival unions, CONUA and NAMDA.
