D'Tigers, Nigeria's male basketball team paid tribute to the late Sound Sultan who died in the United States of throat cancer.

The team observed a minute's silence before their pre-Olympic exhibition game against Australia in Las Vegas for the departed musician who was an ardent lover of the sport.

The team, however, lost that game by 108-69 after recording back-to-back victories against the USA and Argentina in their last two games.
