Chairman of the Caretaker committee in charge of the Handball Federation of Nigeria Sam Ocheo has stated that the HFN is pleased with the Women’s Handball team outing at the just concluded Africa Women’s Handball cup of nations in Cameroon after placing eighth at the end of the competition.
Ocheo speaking in chat with brila.net said attending the competition alone after a 27 year absence is big enough and to have been able to progress to the point of playing at the quarter final of the competition is encouraging to the Federation.
He added that the experience can only be built on ahead of future engagement at this level of the game in Nigeria.
