Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani has said that the federal government and some states in the country are confused about how to handle the second wave of the coronavirus.
In a tweet, the former lawmaker urged the state government to focus more on preventative measures than focus on the Federal Government.
He tweeted: “Reopening schools and other #COVID19 regulatory measures should be a matter for the states and not the FG; the 36 states, including FCT, have different infection rates. There is evident confusion on how to tackle the second wave.”
Schools across the country have been scheduled to resume today, Monday, despite the COVID-19 resurgence, Daily Post reports.
The federal government fixed the date, even as it continues to deal with the second wave of COVID-19.
