The Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed that not more than 1,083 people have died from the novel coronavirus.
This was revealed in a tweet on Monday night.
The NCDC further revealed that the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria is now 56,388, with 44,337 patients discharged, The Nations said.
This is following the 132 new cases recorded in the country.
Lagos State had the highest number of recorded cases on Monday with 52, Gombe State followed with 27 cases and Plateau State came next with 17 cases.
