A building inside the Ile Oodua’s Palace of Ooni of Ife is reported to have caught fire.

The incident in one of Nigeria's oldest city has caused panic. The fire was said to have started Wednesday afternoon.

Sources close to the incident told The Punch, that “It is not major, people are only scared because the entrance to the palace was locked.”

Administrative Officer of Osun State Fire Service, Fatai Aremu, confirmed the incident.
