Former Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has said that she's in need of PR volunteers to help her campaign for the post of Director-General of the World Trade Organization, WTO.
Okonjo-Iweala made the request while speaking in an interview on Arise TV.
“So far things are going well and I’m grateful for the support of the government and Nigerians. I don’t have any PR firm working for me. I have some friends who are helping with media work pro-bono because I cannot afford to pay them. It would be nice to have some volunteers,” she said.
Okonjo-Iweala's nomination came after an approval from the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.).
She replaces the WTO Deputy Director-General, Yonov Frederick Agah, who was Nigeria's former nominee for the post of DG.
