Sahara Reporters publisher Omoyele Sowore has said that the people who murdered late Chief MKO Abiola are the ones currently in power.
Sowore stated this as Nigeria celebrates Democracy Day on June 12 in honour of Abiola.
In reaction to a video, Sowore tweeted:
"This was during MKO Abiola's burial in 1998! The people who betrayed, jailed and murdered him are/were the ones in power yesterday, today and likely tomorrow, they will continue their murderous trade until #RevolutionNow".
Democracy Day was shifted from May 29 to June 12 in honour of Abiola who won the annulled election in 1993.
