Ex-president Goodluck Jonathan has commended State Governors for the way they have handled COVID-19 in their states.
Nigeria currently has 7267 cases of COVID-19 with 221 deaths recorded since the first case in February.
Speaking on Friday at a webinar organised by the Kofi Annan Foundation, Jonathan praised the governors who have been stirring their economy towards a post-COVID-19 era.
He said, “In Nigeria, I have seen one positive thing about the management of the COVID-19.
“We’ve seen the role played by the State governments, and some of the State governments are even looking at post-COVID-19 era and the economy of their people.”
“I have seen now what could be described as the devolution of powers with the governors".
