The Jigawa State Government has announced a second coronavirus death, a female patient and resident of Miga Local Government Area of the state.

The Commissioner for Health, Abba Zakari, made this known on Sunday while speaking on Freedom Radio.

The first coronavirus death in the state was recorded of a resident in Fanisau community, Dutse Local Government Area, who had just returned from Lagos State.

Zakari revealed that the latest victim was first admitted to two different health facilities before she was declared positive for the virus.

He also revealed that 679 almajiris deported into the state have been taken to a facility approved by the Nigerian Center for Disease Control, NCDC.
