Alhaji Adamu Ahmed, a former Speaker of the Jigawa State House of Assembly is dead.

Adamu died at a hospital where he was being treated for an undisclosed illness.

Adamu served eight years as Speaker of the Jigawa State House of Assembly while Dr. Sule Lamido was governor of the state from 2007 to 2015.
