Godwin Emefiele, governor of the Central Bank, has tested negative for the deadly coronavirus.
The apex bank of Nigeria took to popular microblogging site, Twitter, via its official handle @cenbank to announce the governor's test result.
“The COVID-19 test conducted on the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, CON, has today returned a negative result.”
Having recorded 10 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, the Nigeria Center for Disease Control - NCDC announced that the total number of confirmed cases rose to 184.
As of April 3rd, Nigeria has so far recorded two deaths and 20 recoveries.
