Enugu state has recorded its first coronavirus cases after discovering two patients who positively tested for the virus on Friday.
This brings the total cases recorded in Nigeria to 81 and one death, according to the Nigerian Center for Disease Control - NCDC.
Until now, Nigeria’s south-east region did not record any case of the deadly virus.
“11 new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria: 8 in Lagos, 2 in Enugu & 1 in Edo State,” the NCDC said late Friday in a tweet.

Recall that Mynigeria.com reported that the cases rose to 81 in less than 4 hours after 70 cases were confirmed by the NCDC.
