*Obaseki tests negative to COVID-19, to remain in self-isolation*
Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has announced that he has tested negative to COVID-19.
MyNigeria.com reported yesterday that Obaseki went into self-isolation after he came in contact with Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Muhammed and Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, who are now positive to COVID-19.
This was disclosed by Mr Crusoe Osagie, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Communication Strategy, who revealed that his samples were sent to be tested for the virus.
Obaseki has now announced that the result is out and that he tested negative to COVID-19 but will remain in self-isolation.
He tweeted: "My rapid diagnostic test for #COVID?19 came back negative. However, while still asymptomatic, I have decided to remain in self-isolation and continue working from my private office at home pending the result of the more conclusive PCR test".
