Author of Safari Pants, Gimba Kakanda has been taken to cleaners for the flimsy tweet he made today.
The tweet which several Nigerians termed tribalistic referred to Vice President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo as a "vulture."
The tweet read: "Protect the President by all means. We can’t afford a repeat of the Yar’adua era in this critical time. The potential replacements are a breed of vultures I wouldn’t want to see in charge of Nigeria. And now isn’t the time to flee the country."
MyNigeria.com assumes this tweet is a result of the current state of things in the Aso rock villa where Buhari's Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari tested positive for coronavirus alongside other members of the staff.
Protect the President by all means. We can’t afford a repeat of the Yar’adua era in this critical time. The potential replacements are a breed of vultures I wouldn’t want to see in charge of Nigeria. And now isn’t the time to flee the country.

While Buhari's health status is still under massive speculation, everyone in Aso Rock has been asked to subject themselves to the COVID-19 test. In the light of that, Gimba Kakanda has been firing on all fours, with ethnic-colored comments all day.
We saw what happened when Yar’adua passed. It’s not just about the constitution being clear, it’s the fact that the country is going to hibernate for another season of political infighting as the vultures lobby for positions. That’d some regrettable loss of time in governance. https://t.co/7VxOEUA6Fc

We have democratic means of removing a President, and a death wish isn’t one of them. I refuse to subscribe to such dangerous mindset.

Several Nigerians didn't take this recent statement on the "vultures" too lightly. Here was their response:
Osinbajo has clearly been sidelined. We are not crying...

But because some Northern appointee contracted Coronavirus - & Buhari could be at risk, this bigot Gimba don't want anything to happen to the President, because of vultures? It is that vulture that would eat your carcass!
Our most nepotistic & tribalistic President ever is looting us dry along with his friends. But he must be kept alive because he'll live power for vultures & you don't want time that should be used for governance to be used lobbying for offices?.Gimba Kakanda is a Grade A fool.

Do you agree with me that Gimba is a Virus worse than #CoronaVirusInNigeria?
— Eniola Opeyemi (@eniola_opeyemi) March 25, 2020
By now, he should be arrested by security agents for committing a treasonable offense against the southerners for calling them vultures. Because Vice President Yemi Osinbajo represents them. https://t.co/cAZYmKMC6g

Gimba this is a badly written tweet. Nigeria has a constitution and a Vice President.
— Dr. Dípò Awójídé (@OgbeniDipo) March 25, 2020
The vultures we should all worry about are those who have exposed the President to danger after many of us have been shouting for weeks even when abused and insulted for creating fear/panic. https://t.co/IXh7I5NBAg
Gimba dai ya tabo inda yake musu kaikayi. They're on you case today. LoL ???? how are you managing ur mention. @gimbakakanda https://t.co/hTjZmnpIPL

According to Gimba, Osinbajo is “a breed of vultures.” Hahaha the bigotry jumped out and started dancing. https://t.co/pvpZcNFg3W

Gimba, we have been raising an alarm for weeks that this virus is no respecter of persons and it can kill anyone.
— #OurFavOnlineDoc ???? (@DrOlufunmilayo) March 25, 2020
The Presidency took it with levity.
Now his own Chief of Staff has put his life at risk.
It’s unfortunate. But the president is a victim of his own incompetence. https://t.co/DIMdqCU1t3
Gimba would rather have (sick?)Buhari than the Entire SW APC - A breed of Vultures.
