Access Bank has temporarily shut down its Ligali Ayorinde Branch over a coronavirus patient that has now tested positive for the virus.
This was contained in a notice by the bank to the general public in a statement.
According to the bank, the individual who visited the Ligali Ayorinde Branch on Monday, March 16th, 2020 and was initially symptom-free. However, he has now tested positive for the virus and is currently being monitored at an Isolation Centre in Yaba.
The bank shut down as a result and asked persons who made contact with the individual to self-quarantine themselves.
"In line with our emergency response plan and following regulatory practices, the branch has been temporarily closed for thorough disinfection. Persons who had any contact with the concerned individual are currently in isolation.
"It is advised anyone who visited the branch in the last week should self-quarantine for a period of 14 days starting immediately. Should you feel sick or exhibit any of the Coronavirus symptoms, please contact the Nigeria Center for Disease Control on 0800 970 0001 or SMS 0809 955 5577 immediately to find out what to do," Access Bank said.
