The Lagos State Materials Testing Laboratory has sealed some block moulding factories in the Ikorodu axis of Lagos State over quality assurance.
This occurred during a recent enforcement exercise aimed at ensuring that quality materials are used for moulding blocks.
General Manager of the Agency, Dr Tajudeen Afolabi said that the Lagos State Materials Testing Laboratory was beaming its searchlight on moulding industries as part of efforts towards bringing an end to building collapse in the State.

He also promised to seal any block industry that fails below stipulated standards, adding that the operators must have the seal of LSMTL on their products to identify genuine materials.
He noted that the State government will sanitise the building industry to ensure safety and stoppage of building collapse.
The Agency head promised to visit all Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas of the State to pursue this exercise.
