Imo State Governor, Governor Hope Uzodinma has dismissed reports alleging that he installed an Emir in the state as false.
This was contained in a tweet by the official Twitter handle of the Governor.
According to the Governor, the Emir came on a courtesy visit to Imo State. The State Governor explained that the fake news was another attempt by the opposition to distract his administration.
"This was a courtesy visit from the Hausa community in Imo state. The fake news in circulation is another attempt by the opposition to distract this administration. We remain focused," the tweet read.

Earlier today, the Governor of Imo state was alleged to have officially inaugurated the Emir of Imo State week after visiting Aso Rock.
Residents in the state did not find the move pleasant at all.
