Former senator representing Kaduna central, Shehu Sani has stated that Boko Haram insurgents harbour hatred against all Christians.

Shehu Sani stated this in reaction to a statement by the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) in which he revealed that 90% of attacks by Boko Haram are on Muslims.

Buhari had said, “it is the reality that some 90 percent of all Boko Haram’s victims have been Muslims. They include a copycat abduction of over 100 Muslim schoolgirls, along with their single Christian classmate, shootings inside mosques; and the murder of two prominent imams.

"It is a simple fact that these now-failing terrorists have targeted the vulnerable, the religious, the non-religious, the young, and the old without discrimination, ” the President stressed.

Reacting to the president's claim, Shehu Sani tweeted:

"Its true that d majority of d victims of d insurgents are Muslims;It’s also true that d victims of their violence cuts across people of all faiths & of no faith;But it’s undeniable that d insurgents habour an ideologically gruesomely murderous hatred against all Christians".
