The US Embassy has reacted to reports that Bishop Oyedepo of Winners Chapel was denied a US Visa, by describing it as "false news".
It was earlier reported by a national daily that the Clergyman created a scene when the embassy denied him a visa.
This has now been debunked by the US Embassy via a tweet informing the public to disregard the news.
The tweet reads: "#FalseNews Alert! Be advised, the reports making the rounds about a visa being denied to Nigerian Bishop Oyedepo are false. If you have seen this manufactured item in the media, help defeat this #misinformation by communicating to everyone that it is completely false".
