Lagos State Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola has reaffirmed the importance of auditors to the acutalisation of Government's plans.
He made this statement during the opening ceremony of the 6th Annual Auditors’ Retreat organised by the Office of the Auditor-General for Local Governments at the Pelican International Hotel, Lekki.
Muri's words: " Auditors at both State and Local government levels are critical to the actualisation of government’s plans, policies and programmes designed to rekindle hope for a prosperous, safe and healthy State," he was quoted saying.

He said the responsibility of ensuring financial transparency and compliance stood with the auditors.
