Popular blogger Tunde Ednut has been criticized for posting misleading reports about Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf.
This comes after he shared a video of Governor Yusuf inspecting hundreds of wheelbarrows and shovels he hoped to donate to the youths in the state. He captioned the video: "These people nor rate it’s citizens."
His post has attracted backlash from some fans who reminded him that the narrative surrounding the video had been debunked by the Kano State Government.
In response to several comments on X, the state governor via his official handle said the tools were to be distributed for the 2024 Kano drainage clearance exercise.
He wrote “Obviously not empowerment materials, but tools recently distributed to community development associations in Kano for the 2024 Kano Drainage Clearance Exercise.
“We currently have numerous young people enrolled in the Aliko Dangote Skills Acquisition Institute and they’re getting acquainted with modern technical skills.
“Not to forget the 26 tertiary and entrepreneurial institutions that were reopened by this administration after being closed for 8 years.
“The institutions, most of which are undergoing remodelling and renovation, will provide opportunities for thousands of youths in the state who are interested in various entrepreneurial ventures in agriculture, IT, education, security, sports, and other sectors.
“We also currently have over 1000 first class graduates in India and Uganda, who are currently doing their master’s degree in various fields under our sponsorship.
“At the same time, we have consistently paid tuition fees for Kano State undergraduate students in various universities around the country, this isn’t a loan, it’s free of charge.
“We appreciate constructive feedback. But please, stick to sharing only verifiable information that is devoid of any mischief and fabrication.”

engr_khadija noted: Tünde get the news first please! Your page is a legit page, so don’t be too quick to post. It was meant for those that will work on the drainages they caused over flooding in the streets and towns of kano state. As far as I know, kano has the best governor so far!!!!
