Dele Momodu, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has criticized individuals who are exacerbating the crisis within the party, describing them as 'cowards'.
His strong criticism comes as Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State publicly reaffirmed his unwavering support for Ambassador Umar Damagum as the National Chairman of the party.
Fintiri praised Damagum’s leadership and credited him with restoring public confidence in the party.
However, this latest endorsement by Fintiri deepens the existing divisions within the party, which has struggled to unite following the 2023 presidential elections.
Momodu, who has been deeply involved in the party's crisis, has encouraged those opposing the PDP to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a post on Instagram, he stated that those individuals will be remembered as the "enemies of Nigeria" when the time comes.

Those who hoped to be the sole beneficiary of a Southern candidacy threw open the race, in the first instance, using their proxies on the zoning panel so that it would not be narrowed down to the Southeast. When tomorrow comes, they will be remembered as the real ENEMIES of NIGERIA, no matter how much they are profiting currently from the MISERY of the people..."
