Being a child in these times can be scary. However, coronavirus has changed the various ways we relate with our children. Here are a few tips to engage your children in this period.
Make a routine
Children are used to timetables and routines. For every school, there is a time schedule of subjects and activities. One of the ways to keep the kids this period is to create a routine.
Dedicate playing time
Out of the schedule, set aside some time to allow the kids have a little fun. It could be engaging in their favourite video game or a word puzzle. It could involve a board game or an external activity like say football, table tennis around the home. This will ease tension.
Let them read
All work and no play surely makes Jack a dull boy. It would be quite lovely to let the kids read. Let them read aloud while you support them closely. You can also engage them in a few tests regarding what they have newly or previously learnt.
Let them do some little chores Earnings Per Share:
It is not just play all the time. Let the kids do some chores like help in the kitchen or make their bed. A dedicated chore to each kid can keep them occupied. However, you will have to patiently teach them and strictly oversee the activity.
Art
Some children are quite creative. Let them paint! For the inborn singers, get them a music instrument their size that they can experiment with. Make use of YouTube. Let them be expressive. And if you have a technician, let them repair stuff.
Children naturally need to be involved and appreciated. Make sure you do not forget this tip and engage appropriately. Most importantly is hygiene. Teach them the importance of hygiene in these times as it is very vital for their health.
