Funny reactions have followed the viral reports that a 19-year-old self-proclaimed native doctor killed his client.
The unidentified native doctor is known for creating charms to protect against gunshots and cutlass attacks.
While demonstrating the effectiveness of a charm he had prepared for his client, he accidentally shot and killed the victim.
He has since been arrested by the Edo State Police Command.
According to The Punch, the incident took place in the Onumu Community in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of Edo State on August 20.
In a statement on Monday by the State Police Command spokesman, SP Moses Yamu, the victim, Alex Ezekiel, had approached the suspect and requested a bulletproof charm.
"One Alex Ezekiel, now deceased, went to the 'native doctor' to have charms made for him.
"After preparing the charms, the native doctor attempted to test their effectiveness by shooting the deceased with a gun.
"Unfortunately, the deceased suffered fatal injuries and was taken to Ifejola Hospital in Igarra, where he was pronounced dead by a medical doctor," the statement said.
Yamu stated that the suspect would face prosecution once the investigation is completed.
